The Arvon Foundation is a registered charity, running a programme of week-long, residential writing courses. Our courses offer writers an informal, supportive environment in which to share, learn, discuss and progress their work. Each course has two established, published writers as tutors, as well as a mid-week guest reader. Lumb Bank, the Ted Hughes Arvon Centre, is a large, eighteenth century mill owner’s home, set in the stunning Pennine hills above Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire.
Courses include genres such as Novel Writing, Poetry, Theatre, Screenwriting, Writing for Children and Life Writing.Fiction.

If would like any more information or have any queries, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. Our full course programme can be found at www.arvonfoundation.org.
